The Tulip Community Mapping Project

This project will be under continual development  with the ultimate aim to map the location of every fatality ever recorded or reported as a fatal accident throughout the British Isles.
With limited resources we are working on this huge task.

Our Mapping Project

View our ever developing project by exploring the map window focused on regional areas.
Pan and Zoom the window area down to street level as more Tulip icons representing the victims are revealed.

Help build the Map

If you know of a fatal accident that should be marked on our map please let us know.
Maybe on your travels you pass a roadside tribute that you feel should be represented or more accurately detailed, please help us personalise the tragic events at that location so we can respectfully mark the life lost.

The Tulip Map in operation..

As an alternative to a direct location or name search, our road fatalities mapping project deliberately encourages the user to physically pan and scan the online map to search by area. Only by using this method is the full scale of fatal statistics represented as more Tulips are revealed during exploration of the map.

Our experience has found that whilst police and local authorities are sympathetic toward roadside floral tributes and the need for grieving, concerns are often raised about the safety around the physical placing of tributes and the visual distraction they may allegedly cause.

Only now with our TulipMap has there been any alternative.
